Attention please to all the nurses that are interested in working in the UK: Requirements to register in the NMC have changed and have not been simplified.

Until now, in order for a nurse to become a member of the NMC it was not necessary to pass any English test. However, from January 2016 on, every nurse that wants to register in the NMC will have to present, together with the required documentation as before, a certification that is equal or superior to a 7 in the IELTS examination test, which is an international English test. It will be then necessary to achieve a 7 in every field or area of the exam, a decision that has been nothing but polemic because of the already strict nature of the exam. In the Nursing Times website you can find detailed information regarding this topic.
What if you have not started your registration at the NMC yet? You do not have to worry, since you can do it before changes apply. Start registering before January 2016 and guarantee getting your PIN number. You can access here our guide to register in order to help you through the whole process.
