What should be Grupo Binternational’s legacy?

What will we contribute to present and future generations?

What footprint will we leave on our stakeholders?

In GB we have started our journey to become more conscious and responsible. These are the first steps we have taken.

WE ENJOY SPREADING THE WORD

Where there is a leader, we can show that it is possible to manage people differently.

That’s why we dedicate one of our lines of work to shaking the minds of CEOs, managers and management committees with our revolutionary ideas.

OUR PURPOSE

YEAR 2022

2022 begins for us with a new strategy and a fresh look. And we are guided by an absolute reference point: our purpose.

To build organisations where people can identify with, feel good about and give their best version of themselves

We realise that if we want to be coherent with our purpose we have to make changes.

First, we need to feel good about ourselves as a team. Improve our governance and what affects our people. And then move forward with what surrounds us: the specialists around us, our customers, the community and of course the environment.

Creating an enriching and sustainable culture for everyone in GB is our goal. So let’s get down to work.

For us, it is not important

to have a stamp

BUT THEN… WHY B CORP?

We need structure. And it seems to us that B Corp can give us the structure we need.

For us, the objective is not to get certified, but the evolution that the commitments we made to become a B Corporation will bring about in our company and in us. As the B Corp movement says, we don’t want to be the best company in the world, but the best company for the world.

In April 2022, we involved the entire organisation in the process and launched an action plan based on three pillars: governance, people and the environment.

What have we activated

SINCE THEN?

GOVERNANCE

  • We have amended our bylaws to ensure GB has a positive impact on our stakeholders
  • We allocate 0.7% of what we pay in taxes to social actions by ticking the Solidarity Company box in the Corporate Tax
  • We connect our clients to the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan to become more innovative and competitive
  • We launched a new Compensation Plan to update team remuneration
  • Our Employee Contribution System clarifies what is expected of each of us and aligns our development at GB
  • We have a referral programme for employees, partners and contacts
  • We promote a sustainable culture
  • We diversify our business lines to be more robust
  • We have started to measure the impact of our service
  • We share key performance indicators in the GBQE

PEOPLE

  • Boost, our learning platform for clients, has an accessibility bar and dyslexic font
  • We subtitle video content in English and Spanish to make it accessible to more people
  • We contribute to SDG 8 by promoting stable and quality employment among our clients
  • We support our colleagues with the ‘Simply Close’ project and corporate volunteering
  • We have a Flexible Remuneration Plan
  • We offer a hybrid work model
  • We have flexibility and work-life balance measures
  • We update our benefits regularly
  • We can express our emotions with continuous sentiment measurement
  • We now work at Opn, a space for co-creation, inspiration and art
  • Our supplier payment policy enhances our partners’ experience
  • We collaborate with several associations through our Solidarity Birthdays
  • We prioritise consumption in local commerce
  • We measure the satisfaction of clients, candidates and colleaguest

ENVIRONMENT

  • We have a Green Hosting server that uses 100% renewable energy
  • We schedule cloud deletion dates to reduce our carbon footprint
  • Since the end of 2022, we have been using less polluting cleaning products
  • We have measured and reduced our electricity consumption, which is 100% from renewable sources
  • We have thermostatic valves on radiators and have reduced heating consumption
  • We have temporarily decommissioned the printer
  • We encourage bringing food from home to reduce the use of disposable packaging
  • We have moved away from capsules and have a sustainable coffee supplier
  • Our employee welcome pack is eco-friendly.
  • We use public or electric transport to get to work

IS THIS IT?

If you are wondering how this story ends, we can tell you that after almost a year and a half of hard work, internal awareness and improvements. On May 30th 2023 we achieved the B Corp certification.

This shows that in Grupo Binternational we work with high standards of social, environmental and good governance demands.

But the journey has only just begun. We have a lot to evolve, not only in terms of this certification, but also in other aspects. As a starting point, we have implemented our Code of Ethics and some policies that help us to structure ourselves.

Do you want your company to be sustainable too?

FUN FACT

WE DONATE OUR BIRTHDAY GIFTS

Like many companies, our social actions began years ago with philanthropy, the primitive way of understanding Corporate Social Responsibility. And the origin is very curious.

In the past, when one of us had a birthday, we all gave him or her a gift. But in 2021 we decided that the birthday boy/girl would choose a gift from a charity shop or that GB would donate the amount to the shop of their choice. And so the GB Solidarity Birthdays were born.

We invite you to get to know the associations and NGOs that have received our micro-donations. They are part of us, of what is important to the people of GB.
