Madrid, 2 September 2025 – Having a great idea or securing early-stage funding is only the first step for a startup. The real challenge begins when the company starts to scale: teams grow quickly, founders can no longer be everywhere at once, and the lack of structure begins to slow momentum.
At this critical stage, many startups face similar issues: misalignment among founders, teams losing focus, middle managers adding complexity instead of clarity, and uncertainty about whether the organisation has the right talent to support sustainable growth.
Scaling a startup requires more than capital: it requires the right people

To address these challenges, Banco Sabadell and Grupo Binternational are co-hosting an event in Madrid aimed at helping startups anticipate and manage the people-related challenges that emerge during growth.
The event will take place on 18 September and will bring together founders and talent experts who will openly share their real experiences of scaling teams, redefining roles and building leadership capacity in fast-growing organisations.
The objective is clear: to help startups scale in a structured and sustainable way by aligning strategy, leadership and talent from the earliest stages.
Learning from founders who have already scaled
The session will feature experienced founders and professionals who have successfully navigated the complexities of growth:
- Eduardo Olano, CEO of Balantia
- Almudena Albertos, CHRO of Corify
- Alejandro Rodríguez, Head of Sales at Nova Talent
- Antonio Macías and Alfonso Roig, partners at Grupo Binternational
Participants will have the opportunity not only to listen to real case studies, but also to share their own challenges and engage in open dialogue with the speakers.
